Sod Installation Services
Why the soil prep decides whether sod takes
If you want a real grass lawn in Queen Creek, installed sod runs about $1.40–$3 a square foot, and success comes down to two things: the right grass and the soil under it. For our climate that's almost always Bermuda: it takes full sun and foot traffic and greens up fast; overseeded with winter rye if you want color in January.
But sod laid on unprepped desert dirt struggles, so we grade, amend, and prep the soil first, then lay tight seams for even rooting and a strong first two weeks. We'll also be straight with you: a lawn wants water and mowing year-round here, so if you mostly want green without the upkeep or the summer water bill, we'll show you where artificial turf makes more sense.
